A Truly Special Christmas (1046)

Back in my younger days
Christmas time was big
Relatives united
And together we all lived.

We shared the same table
For meals, fun and games
We watched films together
Back in my younger days.

Now we’ve grown and we’ve left home
With houses of our own
Life is busy – the parents miss me
And I miss them too.

But this year it’s time to cheer
And celebrate once again
Just like the olden days
But that was back then
The girls are now ladies
And us boys are now men.

This Christmas is so special
A time in our lives
Now with grand children
Parents, husbands, wives.

A truly special Christmas
For everyone of us
Back together once again
A truly special Christmas
Like it was back then.
