LOST PROPERTY
1st Album Release
This is the 1st album that was released in December 2019, and consisted of songs that were more personal, or relevant to me, at the time.
THE BEST OF ‘THE LOST CONNECTION’ (2011 -2019), PART 1 -5
Best Of (Part 1)
Best Of (Part 2)
Best Of (Part 3)
Best Of (Part 4)
Best Of (Part 5)
Here are 5 albums containing recordings from 2011 – 2019. None of these were recorded with a view to being released. Some were not produced very well, nor performed to the best of my ability, but were the best I could manage during those 9 years (in addition to songs on ‘Lost Property’).
MASK OF REALITY – REALITY IN DREAMLAND
Recorded on tape in the 90s
‘Mask Of Reality’ is the name I went under before becoming ‘The Lost Connection’. This was a playlist created to form a story, which was written and recorded between 1994 – 1998. The story was updated a few years later and further amendments are due to be made for the story to be marketable. It was recorded using a 4-Track Tape Recorder, a Yamaha PSR-8000 GM Synthesizer and a battered old microphone. It had to be re-mastered when converted to MP3 format to make it a reasonable quality to release (22 years later). 2 of the songs were recorded in more recent years which has led to an amendment to the storyline.
2020 VISION
2nd New Album (8th Release)
This was an album that was about 2020 and the title track was written after already deciding the album title. This contains lyrics which were written as far back as the early 90s, but most were written and recorded during 2020. The album was based on events during 2020.
VOLUNTARY REDUNDANCY
1st Single (since 2013) was released as a single before the release of this album. I decided that, once my voluntary redundancy was granted, I would release a single called, ‘Voluntary Redundancy’ and that I did.
THE NEW LOST WORLD ’19-20-21
3rd New Album (9th Release) created during a long break from work during COVID. In 2020 and 2021 my time was heavily dedicated to songwriting and recording, but all of these songs were recorded after 2020 Vision. This album is made up of many songs that were recorded in that period, although some of the lyrics were written as far back as the mid 90’s.
THE LOST & FOUND HISTORY (SONG UPDATE)
The duo known as ‘The Lost & Found’ (10th Release)
This album features recordings that were recorded in 1999 to 2001 mainly, but a couple were recorded many years later. 6 of the songs were released in 2010 (or 2011) and a single in 2013. These releases (through SongCast) are no longer available. Two of the songs were just music, but I added vocals nearly two decades later. Some of the songs had additional vocals added to reinforce the original quieter ones.
WON’T STOP!
Single Edit
This is a very significant single, as was ‘Voluntary Redundancy’, as this was a tune co-written by ‘The Lost & Found’ duo around 3 decades ago. I recorded all jamming sessions throughout the decades and liked listening to this tune many years later, so I added lyrics and turned it into a complete song.  The solo section was a newly added chord sequence and does feature as a pre-chorus in the other version that ends the album that will follow in the coming months.
I AM JUST ME
2nd Single from ‘Whatever Happened’
These lyrics question who I am and what I have become. I have been conned out of money, scammed a couple of times and trust nobody anymore. No matter how hard I try I never seem to actually succeed, but deep down it is helping me to find the real me.
FOREVER TOGETHER, ME AND YOU
3rd Single from ‘Whatever Happened’
This is a song which I wasn’t going to release as a single. Due to the delay of completing ‘We Won’t Sop!’, the album could not be released.  To keep a certain amount of interest, and to show another side of me, I decided to release it. This was a good way to end the album (except for the bonus track, ‘We Won’t Stop!) as it was a happy ending in an uncertain journey.
WHATEVER HAPPENED
The 2022 album
Most of this album was recorded in 2021 and 2022, but ‘The Battle Within’ was completed in 2020. The album cover contains a small piece of art depicting it’s creation being between 2020 and 2022. As usual, the lyrics span 4 decades (32 years) in time, but the older ones were only recently turned into songs. It is called, ‘Whatever Happened’ because it is a result of what did happen. It is a combination of songs about my past and present, other people, fictional scenarios, real life occurrences and some whacky stuff which happened, which was created by having much more time to focus, develop and expand. Due to the amount of styles and subjects covered, on this album, people will probably ask, “Whatever Happened!?”. My production has improved, my vocals have developed and established more of an identity, and I have started to reveal my identity more on artwork now.
BEFORE THEN AFTER (THINGS ARE GETTING HEAVY)
2024 – A big year and the 12th album, finally!
Songs Before COVID, Then songs during COVID and, then, After COVID the news, paranoia, war and… to end the album – a summary of my musical release history, gaining a book publishing deal, marriage, whilst the world is still at war and Earth is suffering from the ever-increasing effects of climate change, The title track was written after the album title had been decided. Most of this album was recorded in 2022 and perfected in 2023, with the exception of Cheap New Book, and COVID-19. Cheap New Book was first created in 1990/1991, but not recorded properly until 2016 with a great guitarist and singer, Steve Emm. Unfortunately, he committed suicide in 2020 (RIP). I have included this song on Before Then After in his memory. I began a relationship with my wife-to-be on 31st October, 2020. Songs were written and recorded about our relationship and released on previous albums, but there are a few on this album too. In 2024 I am getting married, by which time I will have released this album and my book will have been published, The Words Behind The Music, Volume 1: Lost In Reality. Things Are Getting Heavy refers to 5 different things: my weight increasing significantly since COVID and voluntary redundancy (Glad To Be Fat); getting married, heavy subjects at the end of this album and the style in which they are recorded and, last but nit least`, back in the 1990 I wrote a song called, Just A Question (Before Things Get Heavy). Despite being reasonably unknown, things could get serious if my book does actually sell and more people do become interested in my music. This is a year in which my best album so far, has been released, my first book published, and a marriage to the most amazing woman I could have met has been planned.  The Lost Connection may start connecting with the world. which could mean Lost In Reality.
