But I still don’t know which one of them is me
There’s a thousand and one doors for which I hold the keys
But a thousand of these rooms no-one gets to see. Chorus
I’ve got to get out – I’ve got to break free!
I’ve got to get out and show the other sides of me
Verse 2
I’ve hidden in my room so long, just waiting for the time…
For the chance to come – to get up and run
To break free from the mould which always seems to hold me down
I need to make some ground – when freedom’s found.
Chorus
I’ve got to get out – I’ve got to break free!
I’ve got to get out and show the other sides of me.
Breakout! Breakout! I’m breaking free:
“The chains that have held me down
I was caught when on the ground,
I was throned and then was crowned
King of thoughts without a dream
From the office I hear them scream:
“Free us! Free us! Yourself and me”
I was no longer king to thee.”
Verse 3
Now I’m on the loose, doing what I choose
I’m running down the passages with the keys to the rooms
I’m gonna enter each room, one at a time
And then you’ll see what’s really happening in my mind.
Breakout! Breakout! Breakout! BREAKOUT!
Breakout! Breakout! Breakout! BREAKOUT!
Breakout! Breakout! Breakout! BREAKOUT!
Breakout! Breakout! Breakout! BREAKOUT!
“Time to free the imagination
From the cells of the inner mind
To show the other side
Of this picture within the frame
Which hides all evidence
Of a free man
It’s time to break free
And go with what you feel
Life is all about
Your life!”

Time has passed and the rooms are bare,
Emptiness but not despair
What was worthless had dwindled and died
But the one that mattered had survived
The room was packed with ideas and dreams
Vsions which now could all be seen
Hopes that were there to be freed
Just need the notion and opportunity.
