• The last lyrics written were, ‘Two Minds (In The Same Boat)’

This is Song 830.   I was very chuffed with this set of lyrics which I wrote last weekend.   As with all the lyrics I write, they are very clear in meaning at the time they are written, but later the depth at which they were being written is harder to comprehend.  Nonetheless, this was a very meaningful piece that explained a situation that is very hard to explain in normal conversation.  In the form of lyrics I find it much easier expressing feelings on certain matters.  I still use metaphors a lot and water still represents love (since ‘Symbol Explanation’ was written back in the very early 90’s).  I have amended it slightly since last weekend and split it into verses, bridges and choruses now.

  • ‘Website and Videos’ Update

    Hi all,

I have finally started indulging in the uploading of video clips of me performing songs.   The first video was uploaded on FaceBook this week (Fate Can Be Cruel).  This has now been added to my YouTube site and, yesterday, I added ‘The Lost Waltz’.  As usual, they are very amateur recordings, but just another way of demonstrating what I have written.  You will also see that I have finally changed the style of my website slightly.  It’s still not how I want it, ideally, but it looks a bit better now.

My songs do not seem to be getting such a high response on SoundCloud these days, but Twitter, fortunately,  is reflecting a bit more interest.   This is partly why I may do more videos, as the ‘Fate Can Be Cruel’ as this did gain a lot of attention compared to all other uploads.  I may have to start making sure that what I record is to a higher quality soon, in case more do start to listen… but no guarantees.

Anyway, I am still recording at least one new song a week, so all is going to plan at the moment (even if the songs are not liked that much, lol).

    Bye for now,
