Verse 1
Mr. Wright said to Isabel Blue
“I would like to marry you
Although you have divorced five times
This time will you please remain mine?”
Bridge
Forget the colour of money
What’s the colour of love?
I feel it should be bright
But is it bright enough?
Is the future bright
For Isabel and Mr. Wright.
Verse 2
Isabel was always ‘Blue’
Five double-barrels she’d been through
Perhaps her name she should’ve changed
But the ‘Blue’ in her name remained.
Verse 3
Now for the sixth time to be wed
“Isabel Blue”, the registrar said
“Do you wish to take this man
Damien Wright to be your
Lawful wedded husband?”
Bridge
Suddenly she stopped to think
And glanced at Damien who gave a wink
She said, “I’ve been married five time before
But none of them were okay
So who’s to say…
You won’t walk out the door
Like the other five husbands
In my life did before?”
Verse 4
“Stop there! Think about it
Perhaps your name you need to quit
Isabel Wright-Blue I don’t like
I wanna be wed to Mrs. Wright.”
Verse 5
As she was thinking, “Izzy Wright’
Relations were holding tight
With this thought she declared with a “Yes!”
Everyone then released a big deep breath.
Outro
